Indexed Patient Positioning Systems™ (IPPS) is a patient fixation solutions for 3D, IMRT or conventional radiotherapy. This unique method of patient fixation offers significant advances in positioning accuracy by "locking" positioning devices into specific points along the treatment couch.
Seminar attendees will learn how to rapidly and precisely set-up patients for a wide range of treatments while ensuring a consistent reference point from simulation through treatment delivery.
After this seminar participants will be able to:
-
Recognize the challenges of creating precise patient positioning and immobilization
-
Identify the uses of IPPS methods for creating precise repositioning
-
Identify the functions, strengths and limitations of IPPS techniques
-
Recognize the future of IPPS and its effects on advanced radiation therapy treatments
