Glutaraldehyde and OPA Spill Kits

Spilled glutaraldehyde and OPA are dangerous due to the rapid increase of fumes in a closed area. According to the JACHO Hazardous Materials Plan a spill kit is required to be stored close to the point-of-use and each spill containment response team member is properly trained in the use of the spill kit. Each spill kit contains Glute-Out® Neutralizer, an impervious gown, organic respirator, waterproof shoes, nitrile gloves, safety goggles, absorbent mats and bouffant caps. These kits meet OSHA and ANSI standards for the safe use and handling of disinfectants in a healthcare facility. Follow instructions for use for proper disposal of materials.
