CIVCO Promotes John Steffen to Product Line Manager for Infection Control
KALONA, Iowa, USA, – CIVCO Medical Solutions is pleased to announce the promotion of John Steffen to Product Line Manager for Infection Control. Steffen will work closely with the CIVCO engineering and marketing teams to develop and manage the company’s growing infection control portfolio. “We are excited that our continued growth has enabled us to add a new product line management position,” said Robin Therme, VP of Multi-Modality Imaging for CIVCO. “The addition of John to our team will allow CIVCO to direct more resources to expanding and developing the infection control product line.” Given the growth and technology expansion within CIVCO’s product lines, CIVCO products will now be divided into three categories: device guidance & positioning, infection control and brachytherapy & surgery.
Steffen holds both a B.S.E. and M.S. in engineering from the University of Iowa and has a 7 year history with CIVCO. He began as an Engineering Intern and went on to hold the roles of Design Engineer and Senior Design Engineer. During his tenure, Steffen designed products for both the Multi-Modality Imaging and Radiation Oncology business units. “CIVCO is a strong organization with many new opportunities in the Multi-Modality Imaging sector,” said Steffen. “I am eager to join the current product management staff, bringing a dedicated focus to our infection control product offerings. Healthcare-associated infections are a preventable problem, and our goal at CIVCO is to significantly reduce the rate of occurrence by providing innovative infection control solutions.” Steffen’s extensive experience with engineering, project management, manufacturing and quality & regulatory standards will prove valuable in his new role.
Steffen will be based in CIVCO’s Coralville, Iowa, location.
